Hi all,

Many new things this month. Strangely enough, the more it goes, the more the Zone seems active. From my side, I just have had some computer problems due to a shitty Trojan which delayed the writing of this report.

Master Musicians of Joujouka in Porto :
The Master Musicians of Joujouka Mohamed El Attar, Ahmed El Attar, Abdeslam Errtoubi, Radi El Khalil, Abdellah Ziyat, Mohamed Mokhchan and Ahmed El Bouhsini have just returned to Joujouka after a sucessful visit to Porto for a concert.
The concert at Casa da Musica Sala 2. The subperb accostics, sound and technicial crew, and design of the venue made for a unique experience which was both intimate and powerful. The musicians would like to thank the staff and crew at the Casa Da Musica. Photos: http://joujouka.net/5Gallery/

- The forum of the site “La sémantique générale pour tous” has been hacked by Turkish hackers (?), apparently nationalists ones (???) : www.ayyildiz_team.org , which put their page instead of the forum, so Yannick Chosse, the administrator of the site, deleted the page. A friend advises not to visit their site as surfing may be unsafe there.

Paul O’Donovan sent the URL with this comment : “I had a contact from Michael Baird recently - a jazz musician/record producer who runs his own label in Holland http://www.swp-records.com/ specialises in releasing CD's of music that wouldn't otherwise gain audience or market - makes just enough money from it for the operation to be self sustaining, keep him alive, and not reliant on arts subsidies/grants.

Anyway, his reason for contact:- for many years he's been trying to find trace of Lyman Andrews - Lyman was his tutor and great friend during spell at Leicester University in early 70's - he noticed one of the pictures dedicated to Lyman on Interzone. Thus I have been able to put them back in contact to delight of both, who had assumed each other dead. A good Interzone result of which existence is due to thanks to you.

While reading on RealityStudios, the administrator posted this link. I loved it, but it is a bit daunting. When I was young I would go visit special collections when I was hitching around the country. Now it seems a bit more formal, I have no academic or scholarly excuse for looking. A personal loss but I approve of the better care of the material. A lot of people steal from archives and small museums. I don't believe in the white collar crime attitude, enron steals your home and pension, petty theft of books and history steals from every curious mind, these are not little things.
